Webinar: Navigating Utility Access and Equity - April 30

PA HRC and PULP logosThe Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) and The Pennsylvania Utility Law Project (PULP) are co-hosting a webinar entitled Navigating Utility Access and Equity on April 30, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern.

In this interactive session, participants will delve into critical topics surrounding utility affordability, fair housing, and the intersection between housing equity and utility access.

Topics for discussion will include: consumer rights surrounding utility services, energy and water assistance programming, and the intersection between housing equity and utility security for vulnerable and historically-underserved consumers and their communities.

Participants will learn about protections from housing discrimination, how past discriminatory practices impact Pennsylvanians today, and how we can advance housing equity today.

Participants will also engage in a discussion related to utility and housing access for vulnerable populations, including survivors of domestic violence, limited English proficient individuals, and immigrants. Furthermore, we’ll discuss landlord-tenant energy efficiency issues.
