The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will conduct a Virtual Veterans Experience Action Center (V-VEAC) for Veterans in Pennsylvania from October 21-23, 2020 to assist them on VA benefits, healthcare, and other services.

The V-VEAC is open to ALL Veterans, service priority is available for hard-to-reach Veterans; such as women, homeless and elderly, in order to evaluate and remedy issues during this one-on-one virtual engagement.  The V-VEAC includes community service and support resource organizations with the capability to file, update and adjudicate claims; enroll in VA healthcare and schedule appointments; provide rapid housing and temporary financial assistance; and other holistic support actions.

The Pennsylvania V-VEAC is a state-wide virtual event in which the resident Veterans, family members, caregivers and survivors can be seamlessly connected to the full range of VA and community-based services and resources while focusing on a person-centered approach.

Veterans who register will be given the choice of available times for the requested assistance. An agent or representative will contact the Veteran during that time period to provide personalized assistance as needed.

Veterans are encouraged to register by October 19th for this space-limited event at: https://booknow.appointment-plus.com/ch422seq/ or by calling the Pennsylvania United Way 211 by dialing 2-1-1 Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm.

The partnership with the department’s Veterans Benefits Administration-Philadelphia Regional Office, Veterans Benefits Administration-Pittsburgh Regional Office, Veterans Affairs-Pittsburgh Healthcare System, National Cemetery Administration-Northern Atlantic District Office, and Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will provide direct access for Veterans to answer their concerns regarding:

  • VA Claims and Appeals Status and Filing
