Philadelphia County: Petition for Contempt of Protection From Abuse Order (Philadelphia)

A violation of a Protection from Abuse Order can be handled in two ways.

1. If the police have been involved in your case and an arrest has been made you should contact the District Attorney’s Office and ask if your case is being pursued in criminal court.
2. If you did not contact the police, and if you do not want to go through the police, then you can file a Civil Petition for Contempt.
