Philadelphia Bar Association LegalLine to Offer Free Legal Advice on Employment Issues - Dec. 21
The Philadelphia Bar Association’s monthly LegalLine is holdng a special program focused on employment law in December.
On Wednesday, December 21, license lawyers trained in labor and employment law will be available in the evening from 5-7 p.m. to receive calls about work-related complaints including discrimination, harassment, unfair treatment or hostile work environment due to a protected category such as race, age, national origin, sex, religion, disability or sexual orientation. Calls will be answered by volunteer attorneys from the Bar Associations Young Lawyers Division and the National Employment Lawyers Association.
“Many people’s work situations have changed in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing up new legal questions,” said Will Braveman, co-chair of the Association’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service Committee and an organizer of the event. “We hope this event will be a resource for both employers and employees dealing with a number of work-related issues to gain sound advice.”
Philadelphia Area residents can call LegalLine at 215-238-6333. For more than 25 years, the LegalLine program, which is coordinated by the Association’s Young Lawyers Division, has provided residents with free, quick and accurate legal advice during convenient evening hours on the third Wednesday of each month.
