Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (MidPenn Legal Services)

MidPenn's Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) provides free legal advice and representation to low-income taxpayers and taxpayers who speak English as a second language in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service.

The LITC focuses on resolving disputes with the Internal Revenue Service such as:

• Helping clients in disputes with IRS audits, appeals and collection matters.
• Preventing IRS collection in cases of financial hardship.
• Helping taxpayers obtain reasonable payment agreements.
• Tax problems arising from identity theft.
• Innocent spouse cases.
