Authored By: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Information from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on the adoption process under the Hague Adoption Convention, an international treaty that provides important safeguards to protect the best interests of children, birth parents, and adoptive parents who are involved in intercountry adoptions.
