Who We Are

SeniorLAW Center protects the legal rights and interests of Philadelphia's elderly, providing free legal services, community legal education, professional training, advice, information and referral services, and advocacy. SeniorLAW Center has also created several special projects to address severe recurring legal crises facing seniors today.  Special projects available include: Homeowners Assistance Program ("HAP") PROJECT S.A.F.E. Emergencies (defined as cases involving abuse, loss of shelter, utility shutoff, financial exploitation, imminent civil court dates) are seen on a walk-in basis (no appointment needed) in our center city offices, Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

PA SeniorLAW HelpLine 1-877-PA SR LAW (1-877-727-7529) is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-2pm. This provides legal advice, counseling, information and referrals and is available to all seniors 60 and over who reside in any of the 67 counties of Pennsylvania, regardless of income. This limited representation service is a call-back model. There is a special line and services for older victims of violence, elder abuse, fraud, exploitation or other victimization.
Modest Fee Enhanced Services Program: A new modest fee for service program that expands the range of legal services provided by SeniorLAW Center, including life planning documents, probate and estate administration, is avaialble for older adults 55+ with incomes up to 300% of poverty who reside in the 5-county Philadelphia region. Services are accessed through the regular SeniorLAW Center Intake Line, 215-988-1242, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. All fees support SeniorLAW Center's free services for low-income and vulnerable seniors.
