| Information | Request for services may be made by telephone using the toll free number 1-866-761-6572 or the local number for each county. Allegheny County 412-255-6700 Lines are busy, but telephone messages may be left between 9:00AM-1:00PM each day, excluding major holidays. Access for non-English speakers is provided. Requests for elder law services in Allegheny County can be made by contacting a senior center if the caller is 60 years of age or older. Requests for Protection from Abuse services in Allegheny County can be made by contacting the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. |

Who We Are
Neighborhood Legal Services provides free civil legal services to low income individuals and families who are unable to afford a private attorney. Depending on the particular civil legal problems, they may provide direct representation, advice, assistance in self-representation, brief service/limited legal assistance or referral to a private attorney (including free and reduced-fee). They also provide community education on legal topics.
