Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Inc.
Who We Are
The Legal Clinic for the Disabled is a not-for-profit corporation that specializes in providing free legal services to low-income people with physical disabilities in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties, including Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester Counties. The Legal Clinic provides these services through an in-house staff and a large panel of volunteer attorneys. LCD is not a law reform agency that selects only certain issues or class actions. LCD represents clients who could not afford the services of an attorney in a wide variety of matters such as domestic violence proceedings, consumer protection, public benefits, insurance claims, Social Security disability, ADA, and domestic relations. The cases LCD takes often address its clients' basic needs. Through LCD's services, it promotes equal access to justice for persons with disabilities and assist this population in becoming more independent through the vehicle of the law.
