Who We Are

The Birthparent Mentoring Initiative is a program of the Juvenile Court Project of teh Allegheny County Bar Foundation designed to reach young mothers who because of lack of guidance or support from family or community are at risk of entering the Juvenile Court System. Mentors and mothers are matched to help assist with life skills and in obtaining needed support services.

Mentors are matched with young mothers at risk of entering the Juvenile Court system to help assist with life skills and in obtaining needed support services. Mentors works with only one young mother and serves as both a role model and helper.
