Governor Tom Corbett has announced that Pennsylvania was awarded a $1.5 million grant from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation to design a state healthcare innovation plan. The planning process involves multiple state agencies and will include the establishment of committees consisting of stakeholders from the healthcare community, employers, consumers and managed care organizations – all of whom are committed to advancing a comprehensive model for healthcare reform.
The Internal Revenue Service has announced additional details about the closures planned for May 24, June 14, July 5, July 22 and Aug. 30, 2013. Due to the current budget situation, including the sequester, all IRS operations will be closed on those days.
