The documents listed below are available for your use from LawHelp Interactive.

LawHelp Interactive is a web site that helps people create legal documents. You will be asked questions, and your answers are used to complete the document which you can then download to your computer.

These documents have been specially developed by North Penn Legal Services for use in Pennsylvania. Click on the title of the document you want to create to be taken to LawHelp Interactive.

Pennsylvania Complaint for Custody

This custody form is for PARENTS only. This form will create a Complaint for Custody that you can use to start a NEW custody case. You will be asked a series of questions about your custody situation. After answering all the questions you can submit the answers and create a custody complaint for YOU based on YOUR ANSWERS. This complaint can then be printed and filed in your local court. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a fill-in-the-blank form.

Pennsylvania Petition for Modification or Contempt of a Custody Order

This custody form is for PARENTS only. This form will create a Petition for Modification or Contempt of a Custody Order that can be used to ask a court to change or enforce a custody order that is ALREADY IN EFFECT. You will be asked a series of questions regarding your custody situation and existing order.  After answering all the questions you can submit the answers and create a petition for YOU based on YOUR ANSWERS. This petition can then be printed and filed in your local court. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a fill-in-the-blank form.

Petition for Guardianship of Minor Children

This form will prepare a Petition for Guardianship of Minor Children for people who have children in their care, but are NOT the parents of the children.  Guardianship is appropriate when the parents of the children are no longer involved with the children.  Examples are when the parents are dead or missing, or have serious drug, alcohol, or mental problems.

You will be asked a series of questions about the children's situation.  After answering all the questions, your court papers will be prepared based on the answers you gave.  The Petition can then be printed and filed in your local court.  PLEASE NOTE:  This is NOT a fill-in-the-blank form.

Information, Not Legal Advice.  We are providing this information as a public service.  We try to make it accurate as of the date noted in the materials.  Sometimes the laws change.  We cannot promise that this information is always up-to-date and correct.

We do not intend this information to legal advice.  By providing this information, we are not acting as your lawyer.  If you need legal advice, you should contact a lawyer through your local legal aid organization.  Always talk to a competent lawyer, if you can, before taking legal action.

Lawyer Advertising.  This web site is not intended to be advertising or solicitation.  The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based on advertisements. Before hiring an attorney, you should investigate his or her reputation and qualifications.

E-mail.  Viewing this web site, or transmitting an e-mail message through this web site, does not create an attorney-client relationship.  Sending e-mail to an attorney mentioned in this site does NOT create an attorney-client relationship between you and the attorney. Unless you are already a client of the attorney, your e-mail may NOT be protected by the attorney-client privilege.  Moreover, unless it is encrypted, e-mail can be intercepted by persons other than the recipient.

Deadlines are extremely important in most legal matters.  You may lose important legal rights if you do not obtain an attorney immediately to advise you.  Many people do not check their e-mail daily, and some attorneys do not respond to unsolicited e-mail from non-clients.
